Immingham Dock electric railway station

Immingham Dock electric railway station was the terminus of a short branch line of the Grimsby and Immingham Electric Railway which ran from Immingham Town. The "Inter Urban" railway system was built to bring workers to the dock facilities from both Grimsby and the short distance from Immingham and the station was situated by the main entrance lock and at right angles to it..

This section of line, double track throughout, ran on its own reserved way from the docks, becoming a street tramway on reaching the village. It was opened in 1913, a year after the main line. It closed in 1961.
